Free Japa Club

Join Gurudevi twice daily for group mantra repetition.  She is offering this free service to support you during the turmoil and challenges of fall and winter 2022-23.  Each japa session takes about 10 minutes.

This is a time for completing karmas, especially the difficult ones.  Jyotish, yoga's sister science (Vedic astrology), warns we will be facing our demons, individually and collectively.

You need to invoke your own inner light even more at this time.  Your light is the light of Consciousness.  As you tune into it, it supports you while it shines into the world. - Gurudevi Nirmalananda

This is not a class or training.  It is a session of guided practice for those who have already received the mantra of our tradition, Svaroopa® Vidya Meditation.  For more info about the mantra, click here.

TO GET STARTED

If mantra repetition is new to you, or if you have not yet received the initiation mantra of our lineage, you can easily get started for free with one of these hellos:

  1. Enroll in one of our free online meditation programs.
  2. Email one of our Turn on Javascript! for a personal intro and to receive a free mantra card.

WHAT HAPPENS?

Gurudevi begins the session with "OM svaroopa svasvabhavah namo namah," honoring the Divine within you as well as herself.   The connection is audio only, no video.

She repeats the mantra of our lineage 108 times, the traditional number.  Please join her!  Your device will be muted so the only other voice you hear is Gurudevi's, though many others are also joining in.  If you are located where you cannot do out loud repetition, you may still listen in, and even join in by repeating the mantra silently.

Just before the 108th repetition, she tells you, "One more."  She concludes this part of the session with "OM svaroopa svasvabhavah namo namah."

Next she invites you to offer silent mantra repetition for the benefit of the world and all who are suffering, are in pain or in need.  That may even include you.  She gives you one minute of silence, during which you can repeat the mantra silently (or aloud if you prefer, since your device is muted).

She concludes this part of the session with repeating the mantra aloud and "OM svaroopa svasvabhavah namo namah."

Then she thanks you for joining her and closes with "Namaste!"

When Gurudevi is not available, another Ashram teacher will lead the session.
