Teaching Yoga for Your Back

September 14 - 20 2020 - CANCELLED

Downingtown Yoga & Meditation Center,   Downingtown PA

Statistics tell us that 65% of American adults currently have back or neck pain.  How can you help all these people, especially the ones who live in your home town?  You must adapt what you teach to their pressing needs, as well as plan a curriculum that moves them into a normal lifestyle again.  This 7-day training gives you powerful healing tools to move them through the process quickly and easily.

This is the first time this Teaching Certificate has been offered in a stand-alone training.  Previously rolled into Svaroopa® Yoga's Deeper Yoga Certification, it is now available as a Specialty Certificate.  Many organizations and businesses will be interested in your credentials as a “Yoga for Your Back Teacher,” plus it will attract students to your classes.

Take a look at your current student base, you will recognize that you have more yogis in pain than you realized.  This course will give you many ways of working with that population and making them more comfortable and consistent students.  Margo G.

It's a training worth taking.  Teaching Yoga for Your Back is a boost to your income potential.- Chelsea K.

I didn’t expect the emphasis on the mind with yogis in pain and am pleased to discover that we can help unhinge them from their limitations. – Kaya M,

This certificate prepares you to offer a 10-12 week series for students with back or neck pain.  They will all become miracle stories within the first few weeks, as their pain dissolves away, yet you teach them even more – how to get beyond pain to strength, stamina and flexibility.  If you are a meditation teacher, you may even incorporate meditation into their last few weeks.

The poses you already know are the springboard for you to expand your teaching skills.  We begin with adjustments and customized variations to meet their needs.  Then you learn specialized poses to move them on, so they learn to use their abs, legs and arms, like any yoga student, but with a significant difference – they’re motivated to stay out of pain.  Plus you know how to adapt their poses and give them new home sequences that support their healing.

They’ll be inspired to continue yoga, both at home as well as graduating into more challenging poses within a few weeks.  Your DTS (Develop your Teaching Skills) gives you the skills to design the series for their unique needs.  You empower your students to get the most benefit in the shortest time.

Teacher Training always gives you amazing physical changes, with profound transformative breakthroughs and deep experiences of Consciousness for yourself.  These inner openings are what truly make you a great teacher, as you implement the tools you’ve learned to help others get what you’ve gotten.
