Gurudevi's Teaching Mantras
OM nama shivaya gurave
sat-chid-ananda-murtaye,
nish-prapanchaya shantaya
nir-alambaya tejase.
I bow to the Guru who is the indwelling Shiva,
whose form is Beingness, Consciousness and Bliss,
who is transcendent, calm,
free from all support and luminous.
Muktanandaya gurave
shishya-samsara-harine,
bhakta-karyaika-dehaya
namaste chit-sad-atmane.
I bow to the Guru Muktananda,
who rescues his disciples from the cycle of births and deaths,
who assumed a body to meet the needs of his devotees,
whose true form is the bliss of Knowingness & Beingness.
Hetave jagatam eva
samsararnava-setave,
prabhave sarva-vidyanam
shambhave gurave nama(ha).
To the One who is the singular cause of the universe,
who is the bridge by which all beings cross the ocean of worldliness,
and who is the master of all knowledge,
to the Guru, who is Shiva, I reverently bow. (Guru Gita 33)
Gurur-brahma gurur-vishnur
Gurur-devo maheshvara(ha),

Divine Being.
Guru is truly the One Supreme Reality (Parabrahman).
