Embodyment® Yoga Therapy Training

Become an Embodyment® Yoga Therapist and give the experience of profound spinal release to anyone, by placing your hands on key areas of their spine. Learn to do Svaroopa® yoga's hands-on-healing therapy, so you can offer sessions to students, family and friends. Get more spinal opening than in any other training, giving and receiving sessions every day. Deepen your understanding of the anatomy of the spine and explore the sutras from the Pratyabhijnahrdayam that explain how Embodyment®works.

This course expands and uplifts your teaching abilities and prepares you to give private sessions, which radically increases your income potential. You are eligible to take Embodyment® after your Foundations course, in order to begin your career as a yoga therapist and then maintain your professional credentials with Continuing Ed. This training is also part of Yoga Teacher Training (YTT).

"You will not only experience significant change within your own body, you will learn a valuable skill to share with both your students and general population."

"Like so many Svaroopa® courses, Embodyment® is an experience that you shouldn't miss. It will change your life, effect the way you perceive the world, your body & your mind. It's an opportunity not to be missed."

Prerequisites: successful completion of Foundations of Svaroopa® Yoga and SATYA Member

Preparation: Screening Video

Submit a short screening video 3 weeks or more before the training begins.  Embodyment® yoga therapy is a hands-on healing modality that requires you to use your body and work with clients in a way that’s different from being a yoga teacher. This therapy is a physical process for you, as the therapist!  It includes:

    • You being on your knees for extended periods, next to your client, who is lying on the floor.
    • You being on your knees and elbows to do alignments and adjustments for your client.
    • You sitting on the floor for extended periods, next to your client.
    • Moving lots of blankets around, aligning and tilting your client’s body.

As part of the application process, we require a short, simple screening video so we can see how your body moves and evaluate whether you’re likely to be effective as an EmbodymentâYoga Therapist.  In 30 years, we’ve had less than 1% percent of students not be appropriate candidates for this training.  But we don’t want you to register and come here, only to find out you’re not able to do it.  Turn on Javascript! to contact our Enrollment Advisors for more information.

SATYA Members:  Successful completion of this course will reinstate your Current Standing or maintain your Current Standing status for Continuing Education.

Enrollment Fees include course tuition, DTS (mentoring program), materials fees and your housing and meals.  Refer to specific course dates for details.
