Shishya Seva Week

April 21-29 2018

Ashram & Lokananda, Downingtown PA

Shishyas, Sadhakas, Vratins and Brahmacharins only

Immerse yourself in the Ashram for a week of seva and other practices.  Your support during this Seva Week makes a big difference, due to programs involving all our staff and residents. We need your loving help!

Your tuition, meals and housing are free.  You’re staying in Lokananda and doing seva in both buildings.  Your only costs are your travel expenses, and we can provide your transportation between buildings if you don’t have a car.

Only one yogi is enrolled for the Seva Week, supporting our 6-day Retreat and Shaktipat Retreat.  You’ll be doing behind-the-scenes work but still get to participate in the daily practices, including the morning Guru Gita and meditation, midday japa and evening resident satsang.  You’ll have free time every day as well as the company of many other Svaroopis when they are on recess from their program.

“My Seva Week was an immersion like never before. I have a whole new way to live at home, now that I’ve experienced what it’s like to live at the Ashram.”

“I feel like I got all the benefits of taking the retreat even though I did seva all the way through. Being able to join everyone for the morning chant and other practices filled my heart and put gas in my tank for the whole day.”

Swami Nirmalananda heads all our programs and assigns seva opportunities.  While she approves your registration and seva, you will be working with other staff and sevites in behind-the-scenes support.
