Yoga Teacher Training - Level 2

February 21 - March 1

Lokananda Retreat Center, Downingtown PA

You are ready for more. Deepen your yoga and help others get what you’re finding.

In addition to the poses, anatomy and yoga philosophy, YTT 2 includes a Shaktipat Day with Gurudevi Nirmalananda. This initiation opens up a new level of inner access to your own multidimensionality. It also empowers you as a teacher in a profound way.

I’m leaving here a confident, competent and compassionate yoga teacher. – Patricia D.

YTT Level 2 includes three teaching themes.

Abdominals

Your abdominals work for you once you’ve released your spine. Discover how easy it is to activate these key muscles, which make you able to live with your spine open, supple and strong.

Backbends

Teach the hardest poses, the ones that keep you tall and strong all your life long. Your body needs backbends, both for your lower spine and upper spine, to open out the crunch that life puts in.

Standing Poses

Just like the yoga books and websites show, you’ll be doing the Warrior poses and other standing poses but in the Svaroopa® yoga way. Discover the support of your bones while you use your abs, arms and legs all at the same time.

Become a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Basics Teacher. This attainment also makes you eligible to be a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Successfully complete these training elements:

  • YTT Level 2
  • YTT DTS 2
  • Teaching Review (by video)

TAUGHT BY

Swami Shrutananda & Swami Prajñananda

DETAILS

Prerequisites

  • Successful completion of YTT Level 1 and YTT Level 1 DTS.
  • SATYA member in Current Standing [or take our YTT2 Prep Course, a free training during the 3 days prior to this YTT2 training].

Current Standing Info

Current Standing is a prerequisite so you are ready to get more profound physical changes and absorb the more advanced teachings. When you've been away from the classroom for a while, your rate of learning slows down, which holds back everyone in the training.

This is why we are offering a Prep Course - to make it easy for you. It is tuition-free; your only cost is housing and meals. [More info coming soon!]

Your other option is to do a Teaching Review. Read about it here from a teacher who has done it.

For more info about a Teaching Review, log into your SATYA Desktop Resources. If you need the password, email the SATYA Team.

SATYA Members

Successful completion of this course will maintain or reinstate your Current Standing status for Continuing Education.
